About Nanakmatta
Nanakmatta is an important Sikh pilgrim center which lies on the Rudrapur-Tanakpur route. It is believed that Guru Nanak, the first Sikh Guru visited this place to meditate. Thousands of pilgrims come here throughout the year. The town also got popular with the construction of the huge Nanakmatta Dam built across the Saryu river.
