Lohaghat (Kumaoni: Loghāt) is a town and a nagar Palika in Champawat district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.At an elevation of 1706 mts Lohaghat is 62 Kms. away from Pithoragarh on the way to Tanakpur and 14 kms.from Champawat district headquarters. Lohaghat which is situated on the bank of river Lohawati is a centre of historical and mythological importance. In 1841, so overcome was Pilgrim (Barron) by its beauty, that he had surprised why the Government of India was not developing it as its summer capital. In summer, Lohaghat is full of Burans flowers.

Situated on the banks of Lohaghat River and at an altitude of 1800 metres, Lohaghat is one of the least explored Himalayan retreats. Blessed with natural beauty in abundance, this place acts as a perfect getaway from the daily trials of the city. It has managed to retain its charm and grandeur for over a century now. The summer sees the place turn into a landscape of countless hues due to Rhododendrons spread over the town.
