Dhari is a Town in Dhari Block in Nainital District of Uttarakhand State, India. It is located 19 KM towards East from District head quarters Nainital. It is a Block headquarter. Dhari is surrounded by Bhimtal Block towards west , Ramgarh Block towards North , Okhalkanda Block towards East , Lamgara Block towards North.
Nainital , Haldwani , Almora , Champawat are the nearby Cities to Dhari.Once the temple was washed off by floods and the idol of Goddess Kali struck against the rock. The villagers of the Dharo village nearby heard the divine voice of Goddess and then fixed the idol of Goddess Kali at this spot. After then this temple is known as Dhari Devi temple.
